About the role

A high growth recruitment firm in New York is hiring a Recruitment Director to lead, scale, and elevate a top-performing team. This is a strategic leadership position where you’ll shape hiring strategy, build billing performance, and develop a culture where consultants can thrive.

The business is expanding nationally, so you’ll play a critical role in headcount growth and market penetration.

What you’ll be responsible for

Team Leadership & Performance

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of recruiters and billing managers

• Set performance expectations, KPIs, and quarterly growth targets

• Drive accountability, 1-to-1s, morning meetings, and pipeline reviews

Revenue Growth

• Own the team’s P&L, billings performance, and strategic priorities

• Support consultants with client meetings, negotiation, and deal closing

• Identify high-value markets for expansion and scale headcount

Client Strategy

• Lead enterprise client relationships and support BD across priority accounts

• Conduct market mapping and competitor analysis to refine GTM focus

• Partner with leadership on growth markets, pricing strategy, and product offerings

Internal Hiring

• Build the internal recruitment plan for NYC headcount

• Hire experienced recruiters, team leads, and graduates

• Reduce ramp-up time through structured onboarding

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years of successful agency recruitment experience

• 2+ years in a senior leadership or management role

• Proven ability to scale teams and grow revenue

• Strong client management, negotiation, and BD capability

• High emotional intelligence and excellent coaching style

• Experience in any professional services vertical (engineering, tech, finance, ops, GTM, life sciences, etc.)
